New Restaurants, Pubs & Cafés in Nottingham

This guide lists independent restaurants, pubs and cafés in the Nottingham area (NG1 to NG16) that have recently been newly listed. The aim is to make it easy for you to find new eateries while helping these new businesses establish themselves in a tough climate for the hospitality industry.

The information is based on data from the Food Standards Agency, so a place may appear here some time after it actually opened. If you spot a mistake or a missing place, please get in touch to help keep the guide up to date.

NoteA fresh start (June 2026)

I’ve recently rebuilt this guide from the ground up. The previous version had become tricky to maintain: matching each new venue to its Google Maps listing, finding its website, and working out exactly what type of place it was all took a lot of manual effort. The new version uses AI to help find and classify each place, so the guide should be more reliable and easier to keep up to date.

Because of this reset, the list starts fresh — so it will look sparse at first and fill out over the coming weeks as newly registered places come through. Thanks for your patience!

New openings map

Restaurants are blue, pubs are amber and cafés are dark brown. Hover the mouse pointer over a marker to see the name of the place. Click on the marker to open a popup with more details.

The blue circles represent clusters of several places. Hover the mouse pointer over a circle to see the names of the places in the cluster. Click on the circle to zoom in on them.

Moving or zooming the map filters the table below, so it only lists the places currently in view.

The four buttons in the top left corner of the map are, from top to bottom:

• + and −, which zoom in and out,
• a circular arrow, which resets the map to its original view,
• a dashed square with a plus sign, which lets you drag a box on the map to zoom into it,
• a crosshairs, which is a “Locate Me” button. This location feature is handled entirely within your web browser. Your location is not sent to the server hosting this website.

New openings table

The table lists the places currently shown on the map, so moving or zooming the map will change what appears here. By default, it is sorted by date (most recent first). Click on any header with a double-arrow icon to sort by that column. The date shown is when each place was added to this guide (based on when it appeared in the Food Standards Agency data).
